Gabrielle: 18.00 – 18.50

Gladys Knight: 19.30 – 20.45

Disco Classical with special guest Sister Sledge feat. Kathy Sledge: 21.30 – 22.45

The legendary Gladys Knight, Gabrielle and the brand-new Disco Classical project, featuring Kathy Sledge of the legendary Sister Sledge performing with the Manchester Camerata Orchestra, will be the opening night at this years Nocturne series of summer concerts on Thursday 20th June.

The iconic Gladys Knight, who recently performed at the Super Bowl, will bring her classics ‘Midnight Train to Georgia’, ‘I Heard It Through The Grapevine’ and ‘License to Kill’ to The Great Court. Joining her will be the spectacular Gabrielle whose hits ‘Dreams’, ‘Rise’ and ‘Out of Reach’ were the soundtrack to the 90’s.

Completing the bill is Disco Classical. This brand-new show will see the legendary Sister Sledge ft. Kathy Sledge perform the greatest hits of disco with the 35-piece Manchester Camerata Orchestra. One of the UK’s most innovative orchestras, the Manchester Camerata have already turned their hands to the music of their hometown with the incredibly successful Hacienda Classical concerts and now they’re taking on disco! At Nocturne expect to hear all your favourite disco floor-fillers from Michael Jackson, Prince, Chaka Khan, Diana Ross, Chic and many more given a uniquely orchestral twist.

The evening will also close with a spectacular fireworks finale over Blenheim Palace’s stunning lake to start Nocturne 2019 with a bang!

Nocturne is turning The Great Court at Blenheim Palace into a grand arena, as befits the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. We’re inviting world-class acts, building a stage and bringing live music back to the palace after a decade long hiatus. Nocturne can be an all-day affair with VIP dining in the famous State Rooms, a stroll in the palace’s vast grounds or a waterside picnic. It can also be an evening gig for those who just want to buy a ticket to hear their favourite live music, and nothing else
