The final concert to be announced for this year's Nocturne concert series is a celebration of the music of the 22-time Grammy-winning composer John Williams. Williams, who turned 85 this month, is one of the world's great film composers and has been nominated for 50 Academy Awards over the course of an illustrious career. This concert will take place in one of the most special venues in the country, Blenheim Palace. In its Great Court, audiences will have the chance to take in a once in a lifetime live music experience.
Performed by the 70-piece Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, and conducted by Robert Ziegler, the concert will feature an array of Williams' work including music from many of his most famous film scores including Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, E.T., Jurassic Park, Schindler's List and a spectacular Star Wars finale.
The Nocturne Concert Arena will be open from 4:30pm, music starts at 7:30pm and will finish at 10:15pm. There will be one 45 minute interval.
